This has been a weekend full of activities. I still alive after all what happened since the last Thursday.
Firstly, last Thursday we held the monthly Madrid .NET Usergroup meeting and it was successful. We had 42 attenders and Rido give us an amazing session about eXtreme Programming and Test Driven Development with Visual Studio 2005. As an important thing during this event, Andy Gonzalez (Program Manager for Visual Studio 2005 and the Developers Divisoni of Microsoft in Redmond) stayed within us taking notes of how we use their software and better ways to improve it.
Friday. All the day at Microsoft offices during the Train the Trainers. A local event for all the usergroup leaders, mvp's, regional directors and university .net leaders. It was pretty funny to see all the guys again, previous to the weekend. We received a couple of gifts and a bunch of sessions covering c# 3.0, linq, atlas, avalon and team system. We ended in a restaurant having dinner and drinking till 01:00am
And finally the weekend arrived. Saturday morning. We are moving to El Escorial to start the first coding camp of Spain: Madrid MSDN CodeCamp I. It was promoted and organized by Microsoft and ilitia technologies with the collaboration of Madrid .NET User Group. Two hundred people (200) met there to listen about 14 hours of continuous sessions about avalon, directx, mobile development and security. It was amazing. You can find a bunch of photos in CodeCamp Photos at Flickr ... is this the biggest codecamp held ever??
I personally met a lot of people; awesome people!!! I enjoyed the full weekend. Let's repeat it again.
I'll upload the presentation Diego and I prepared for the Codecamp event with all the code and the final demo we released (although it failed during the presentation, what a shame!!) ... I have to fully translate it to english prior to upload it, so give me a little time.
