I've updated the Clearscreen.SharpHIP control to solve the issues reported. The new features and fixes included in this release are:

  • Bug Fixed: In some cases the control asked to save a file in situations where it shouldn't be loaded. This was caused by the HTTPHandler. This method of generation for the image has been removed.
  • Bug Fixed: Fixed a mistype in the CodeLength property that caused errors to some users
  • New features added:
    • Rendering of the control using VS.NET renderer to increase cross-browser compatibility.
    • AutoRedirect property (bool) to define if the control will redirect automatically to the referrer URL.
    • ValidationTimeout property (int) to define the max number of seconds to accept a valid HipCode .
    • ValidationIgnoreCase property (bool) to define if case should be ignored when performing the code comparison.
    • IsValid property (bool) that indicates if the code submitted was validated or not.
    • RandomCodeLength (bool) to define if the HipCode should be generated randomly between 3 and the number of characters specified in the CodeLength property
    • Increased security and quality in HipCode rendering.

Hope that this release helps to solve most of the actual issues, but if you find any bug or have any improvement that wasn't contained within this version, contact me and I'll manage to solve it.

PD: This time I did not forget to include the readme.txt file :-)
PD2: This post was intended to be released yesterday, but I found a critical bug that allowed all comment submissions without validation the hipcode. So I removed the post and solved the bug. Now it's ready.

UPDATE: A version is released (version 1.4) with bug fixes and Community Server 1.0 support

Check it and download it here
