The control is easy to install. Requires no coding and no recompiling. Just a couple of lines in your web.config and your aspx file. Works for every ASP.NET webform even though it was originally thought for .Text... It includes an easy and well-known HIP (Human Interaction Proof) mechanism seen in many online sites (hotmail, yahoo, etc... )
PD: It's already installed here, in Clearscreen Blogs, and it was really easy to follow with no downloading or recompiling as other techniques available or without modifying the database

btw. The control doesn't provide requiredvalidator because in that case the .Text Core engine should be modified and that would make the solution more difficult to install...

Nice, but honestly...
The numbers/letters are too hard to read, at least on my monitor it is almost impossible and I have not had that problem with othr systems that use CAPTCHA's

Hi Anders, maybe its true that sometimes it's difficult to read. But do you mean by colors choosen or by the text transformation?
This weekend I will add a bit more functionality to it to allow choose colors, foreground patterns, background patterns and character sets.

This control seems like a great tool. The problem I am having is that I cannot get the jpg to render. I followed the instructions from version 1.1 and the postcomment.aspx as well as the DLL from version 1.2. There was no readme with 1.2.
Do I not need to create a HIPGenerator.aspx file somewhere?

The CAPTCHA control results in the push of the image when people click on 'home' in the weblog or when they access a weblog in multi-user mode through their bookmarks. Can you inform me on how to resolve this issue? I love the control, it solves a big problem, but for me also creates a new one :-(

The only problem with this and many other is it relies on the session variable. What if somebody writes a long comment, get some coffee and comes back and finally submits his comment. In the meantime the session expired and he's just lost everything he typed in. Sucks. You need to use ViewState instead of session to protect against this.

This control seems like a great tool. The problem I am having is that I cannot get the jpg to render. I followed the instructions from version 1.1 and the postcomment.aspx as well as the DLL from version 1.2. There was no readme with 1.2.

My only real problem with google analytics is that it doesn’t work very well with a lot of ASP pages, which a lot of clients use nowadays. It can also get kind of hairy when trying to get it to understand what a conversion is. Instead of just any click, it needs to be one specific click haha.

The control doesn't provide requiredvalidator because in that case the .Text Core engine should be modified and that would make the solution more difficult to install.
